Visa applicants are required to make an appointment except for emergencies, with the consular section before coming to the embassy. This will help our services receiving them under the best conditions. We recommend applying 2 weeks before departure for a short-term visa and 1 month before departure for a long-term visa.
The visa section takes appointments Monday to Friday from 9:30 to 11:30 and Monday to Thursday from 14:30 to 16:30.
  • telephone: 00 260 (211) 25 13 22
Visa application forms and fees depend on the duration of the stay (less or more than 90 days and transit).
For a visit not exceeding 90 days, you need a short-term visa. Please find below the application form you need to fill out before coming to the embassy and a list of the required documents.

Zambian citizens transiting through France must hold a transit visa if they leave the airport international zone (for instance, if you spend a night at the hotel, if you need to go from Roissy – Charles de Gaulle to Orly or from the airport to a train station etc…). You need to do so even if France is not your final destination. That type of transit is equivalent to an entry on Schengen area territory.
Persons who need to come to France on a regular basis may be eligible for a circulation visa (90 days per semester, valid for 1 to 5 years).
